Client Development & Retention
Last year, nearly 70% of our clients were within 3 years of elevation
to partnership. A crucial aspect of work at this stage involves
client development and retention. As firms continue to streamline
their professional staff they often eliminate "service partners"
from their ranks (through buyouts, outplacement, etc.) and emphasize
the need for each member to become a "rainmaker." Those seeking
partnership must demonstrate an ability to attract new clients,
while recently promoted partners have additional pressure to prevent
client defections as their practice grows and clients compete
for their increasingly limited time and attention. We work closely
with professionals and their existing and prospective clients
to address these issues and develop solutions to resolve conflicts
before they become critical.
