Management Advisory Practice Services (MAPS)


Many of the professionals represented by Nisus are senior executive management, holding positions of influence within their firms and industries as members of Executive Boards, Management Committees and Advisory Panels. For these clients, we offer a specialized practice section to deal exclusively with strategic planning and issues specifically related to the management and operation of their companies or departments.

Nisus MAPS include:

  • Merger Counselling - Conduct desirability and feasibility review and analysis; prepare historical and projected practice and financial reports; evaluate proposed merger candidates including due diligence; identify and resolve pre- and post-merger integration issues relating to branch management and practice, billing and compensation.

  • Media Relations & Marketing - Developing relationships with media outlets; placement of news and feature articles in general circulation and trade outlets; editing and placement of by-lined articles; scheduling and promoting speaking engagements, appearances and interviews; development of newsletters and promotional materials for client retention, development and recruiting activities; trademark integrity programs relating to logos, graphics, printed brochures and advertising materials.

  • Compensation Planning - Analyze existing compensation structures and competitive plans; implement peer review; identify and resolve partnership agreement issues; review capitalization requirements; evaluate policies relating to withdrawals, buyouts, retirement, etc.

  • Managment Policies - Review fee structures and billing arrangements; office and departmental organization; operating cost analysis; client development; professional staff expansion and retention; needs assessment, candidate screening, interviews and background checking and due diligence.

  • Technology & Telecommunications - Internet, LAN, WAN and VPN specification; evaluation, selection of systems and project planning and vendor management; document production, imaging, management and retrieval; billing, accounting and proprietary practice-specific applications; disaster planning and recovery; e-mail and videoconferenceing; voice/data integration; audio/videoconferencing system evaluation and specification.

  • Organizational Structure - Department and practice section restructuring; development and implementation of promotion policies and alternate tracks relating to parental leave and part-time opportunities; organizing practice and management training programs.
