their companies or departments.
Nisus MAPS include:
- Merger Counselling - Conduct desirability and feasibility review and analysis; prepare
historical and projected practice and financial reports; evaluate
proposed merger candidates including due diligence; identify and
resolve pre- and post-merger integration issues relating to branch
management and practice, billing and compensation.
- Media Relations & Marketing - Developing relationships with media outlets; placement of news
and feature articles in general circulation and trade outlets;
editing and placement of by-lined articles; scheduling and promoting

- Compensation Planning - Analyze existing compensation structures and competitive plans;
implement peer review; identify and resolve partnership agreement
issues; review capitalization requirements; evaluate policies
relating to withdrawals, buyouts, retirement, etc.
- Managment Policies - Review fee structures and billing arrangements; office and
departmental organization; operating cost analysis; client development;
professional staff expansion and retention; needs assessment,
candidate screening, interviews and background checking and due
diligence.
- Technology & Telecommunications - Internet, LAN, WAN and VPN specification; evaluation, selection
of systems and project planning and vendor management; document
production, imaging, management and retrieval; billing, accounting
and proprietary practice-specific applications; disaster planning
and recovery; e-mail and videoconferenceing; voice/data integration;
audio/videoconferencing system evaluation and specification.
- Organizational Structure - Department and practice section restructuring; development
