For Nisus clients, coaching as a means of heightening or stimulating
career effectiveness and competitiveness has always been an integral
part of our practice. In both Advisory and Transactional engagements,
we work closely with our client to ensure they benefit from our
full range of capabilities, of which coaching is one element.
A combination of several aspects of our work, our coaching is
most beneficial to those clients facing a decision node in their
career. By this, we mean those facing a paradigm shift such as
when professionals advance along a path from Associate to Partner,
or Vice President to Managing Director, or Partner to Managing
Partner. But just as often, coaching is used when more dramatic
career transitions occur, such as when an individual moves from
a legal position to a business capacity, or when, for the first
time in a professional's career, they find themselves without
a position as the result of outplacement in connection with a
merger, dissolution, downsizing, buyout or retirement.
In these cases, we develop activities and exercises intended to
help alter our clients profile and practice perspective, and make
their adjustment as smooth as possible, with minimal disruption
to other aspects of their professional and personal affairs. Our
coaching may involve any one or a combination of services including
our evaluation of their qualifications and potential for continued
achievement, defining short- and long-term objectives, assessing
their competitiveness and likelihood of success, and where appropriate
and desirable, working to prepare them to conduct themselves effectively
with their current (former) or prospective partners, clients,
and adversaries. |
